As Members, we have enjoyed an unrivaled Gulf front experience with exclusive opportunities for our families, friends and guests to dine, stay fit, play tennis or simply enjoy a scenic stroll along our pristine sand beach. On September 28, 2022, Mother Nature delivered Hurricane Ian to our doorstep and the damage to our Clubhouse was unlike anything we had ever encountered before. The destruction was so extensive that the building was formally declared beyond repair by building officials at the City of Naples. An Opportunity Wrapped Inside a Challenge The challenge for our Club to develop and construct a new Clubhouse provided our Club leaders with the opportunity to ask you, our Members, to share your thoughts about what would make your experience at the Club more enjoyable. The Building Committee, together with the chosen professional design firms, examined the positives and shortfalls of the 64-year old former facility, and armed with your survey input have produced a proposed Clubhouse design that respects our traditions and honors the wishes of our Members. We believe you will find it to be a Clubhouse that will be enjoyable for your families, friends and guests today, and meaningful for the several decades of future Members who will join us. A New Gathering Place The information presented herein is the plan for our new Clubhouse, a place we will gather for many years to come. It is a Member-guided plan to build a reimagined Clubhouse that will serve our Port Royal community as the setting for exceptional experiences and lasting friendships. Introduction
